Titanium bolts are usually manufactured from commercially pure titanium (Grade 2) or titanium alloys like Ti-6Al-4V (Grade 5). Titanium Grade 2 has superior corrosion resistance and moderate strength along with good formability (tensile strength ~344 MPa). Grade 5 titanium bolts are much stronger, with tensile strength of approximately 950 MPa, and also exhibit good corrosion resistance and fatigue strength. Both grades are biocompatible, non-magnetic, and resistant to high temperatures.
