Super Duplex steel washers are produced from austenitic-ferritic stainless steel, mostly grades S32750 or S32760. These alloys have very high chromium content (24–26%), molybdenum content (3–4%), and nickel content (6–8%), as well as nitrogen, offering superb corrosion resistance. They are mechanically of high yield strength (e.g., about 550 MPa) and tensile strength (up to 800 MPa), which is close to double that of typical stainless steels. Super Duplex washers also exhibit good performance in chloride-containing and acidic environments, showing resistance to localized attack.
